In November 2023, the NGO 'EcoInitiative' partnered in the project 'Diversification of Rural Economy through a Network of Public Consulting Centers for Tourism,' implemented by the NGO 'Association of Rural Green Tourism of Ukraine' with the support of the Estonian Centre for International Development and Tallinn University. It provided partnership support in organizing a hackathon in Sumy Oblast involving local entrepreneurs, educators, scientists, community members, representatives of the state, and local self-government.

On April 13, 2024, in accordance with the content of the project 'Green Adventures,' developed by the members of the NGO 'EcoInitiative' at the request of the Charitable Organization 'Charitable Foundation "Best Friends"' within the charitable program 'Smart Children – the Future of Ukraine,' which aims to assist children from the city of Sumy in their education and development of their abilities, a walking tour of an educational and local lore nature and a quest on the theme of the excursion were conducted for the children of combatants and their parents at the Botanical Garden of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko. Participants of the event simultaneously engaged in 'green therapy,' actively moving and 'absorbing' fresh air, sunlight, sounds, colors, and scents; they received prizes and enjoyed tea with sweets.
The symposium brought together over 100 participants from Ukraine, Poland, and Slovakia who are interested in addressing global and regional environmental challenges in their countries through cross-border cooperation and the development of eco-skills on the path toward sustainable development.
The symposium united educators, students, and community representatives from the Visegrad Group countries and Ukraine to exchange best practices, strengthen cooperation, and explore innovative approaches to developing environmental skills for regional resilience.

In their feedback, they noted: 'We visited the excursion at the Botanical Garden of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko. Once again, we were convinced that we live in a wonderful, picturesque country with beautiful nature and a pleasant climate. In a small area, plants from different corners of our planet grow peacefully... Nature itself teaches us that all nations and all countries of the world should also live in peace and harmony.'
